Jogauni Quest Guide
Jogauni Quest Guide
The following contains spoilers for the Jogauni quest.
Following text is from nekoranama on livejournal.
I'm posting this in order to help people partaking in the Jogauni Quest in Second Life. The information is from a notecard I was given in-world, and was written originally by Azaria Sillanpaa and Saberwind Saarinen. I'm just transcribing it here in case there's someone like me who is loathe to ask for help in-world until desperate. The only changes I've made to the notecard is formatting and making the locations SLurls.
Saber's note:
First, a note on directions. "Luskwood 225, 80, 24". The first number is East-West. The second is North-South. And the last is vertical.
Now, on with the guide!
If you have not done the first test, go to the water wheel and look at the rocks on the grass beside it. There is one that is lighter than the others. If you can't tell the colour contrast, just right click them until you find a rock you can 'Touch'.
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Lusk/122/192/23/
Approach the rock and do your pretty sparkly chant. Be sure to be closer, so the ancestor rock recognizes you.
Rock: This appears to be the right place, but it seems that more is needed... the songs of your ancestors pull at you.
You: /1chant
Rock: You have shown reverence for those who came before you, and have thus passed the first test.
An object named Rock owned by eltee Statosky gave you Full Tribal Myth of the Jogauni.
An object named Rock owned by eltee Statosky gave you Jogauni Quest Information.

Jogauni Quest: Only the blackest of tunnels excludes all light - find this place.

Jogauni Quest: Bring order to chaos
Gathered notes:
All you need to remember is this:
Every time you press a triangle, it changes the colors of the four circles nearest to it into another color; these colors have a sequence "Orange, Green, Purple, Yellow, then Black". You want to change them all to Black. Try concentrating on one side at a time. Also, press the red eye whenever you want to reset it
Aza's notes:
Start with the triangle that touches the top right jewel (Fire). Click until the top left jewel turns black, then move down(clockwise) one triangle. Click that until the next jewel on the top right turns black. Move down another triangle. Repeat until the next jewel in line is black. These Jewels must match the element of the tunnel.
Jogauni Quest: With your insight, the forces once again have found balance.
Jogauni Quest: Where one element is in abundance, those who live in its embrace thrive, and the young grow. Go to them.
--------------------
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Lusk/209/57/17/
Jogauni Quest: The road to balance may prove to be long and hard, but no tribe is expected to walk it alone. Know your friends, so that you may know yourself.
Jogauni Quest: You recall a story of the Phalama (Metal) tribe from your youth. (this is random)
The test of complimentary elements. (Not opposite)
Aza's note:
This is like Simon says. When one triangle flashes (is told aloud), click on it's complimentary element. These are listed in your full tribal myth notecard, but they are also listed below.
Saber's Hints:
Clockwise. Air is purple at the top. Fire, metal(grey), shadow(purple), earth at bottom, water(blue), wood(green), light is last. (Orange in the questions refers to Fire on top right, not Earth even though Earth is all orange).
earth - water
air - fire
water - earth
fire - air
wood - light
metal - shadow
light - wood
shadow - metal
Jogauni Quest: You have demonstrated insight and understanding. But be warned, today's answers can become tomorrow's questions.
Jogauni Quest: Beacon in night or beacon in day; Find the brightest of lights that never goes out.
--------------------
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Perry/44/216/76/
Jogauni Quest: Look down on above, you will find your way.
The lighthouse shows: grey orange yellow orange purple green yellow green
Aza's note:
This is very much the same as bringing order to chaos. Start at the top and work your way around until you have your jewels matching the order of colour atop the lighthouse. I know grey had to be on the top right on the lighthouse order and your HUD.
Saber's note:
42241, number of clicks, start with Earth, move clockwise.
Aza's note: I started with Air, so this can be done several ways.
Jogauni Quest: With your vision and determination, You have created something from nothing.
Jogauni Quest: Go to where the greatest and most lasting stories are told
--------------------
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Lusk/227/79/24/
Jogauni Quest: When one element rises above another, a Jogauni must be both sure of mind and quick of wit to restore balance.
Jogauni Quest: Quickly, look close young one.
The test of opposite elements!
Aza's note:
This is the same as the complimentaries test, except opposites!
I've added the tribal names to each listing. These are the opposite listings, also found in your full tribal myth card. You'll need to know the tribal names, so this could be handy if you don't already.
earth(mato) - air
air(hava) - earth
water(pani) - fire
fire(ago) - water
wood(katha) - metal
metal(phalama) - wood
light(ujyalo) - shadow
shadow(chayam) - light
Jogauni Quest: You have shown your speed and cunning are up to the task young one.
Jogauni Quest: Your ancestors appreciate your progress, and have decided to offer you a boon.
Jogauni Quest: Beyond a ridge, nearly forgotten, a path of strength and age will lead you to your next test.
An object named moonie owned by eltee Statosky gave you Jogauni Moon Staff.
--------------------
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Lusk/185/15/30/
Jogauni Quest: Your eyes are keen and can see far. Yet your mind must be able to see one step further.
Figure out the puzzle
Watch the green jewels and look for a pattern, then continue it. Feed in the result while the eye is spinning, by clicking the jewels. They show up as orange when you click them.. if it isn't lagged. Always start with the top right jewel, and click the number of jewels that is the answer. Example, for answer number one, make all eight jewels glow orange, then click the eye.
Answers:
(1) 8
(2) 6
(3) 4
(4) 4
(5) 8
(6) 6
Jogauni Quest: Very good.
Jogauni Quest: You have proven yourself a keen observer of the patterns found in the world around you.
Jogauni Quest: Trust is required for the next step; Find where the path seems to lead you to nothing.
--------------------
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Lusk/199/228/50/
Aza's notes:
This landmark should take you to a lusk walkway. If it does not, look above you once you're rezzed. This walk way should seem to drop off. Don't be fooled. Keep on walking. ;)
Jogauni Quest: There is great wisdom to be found by following in the footsteps of a master.
Saber's notes:
This game is simon says. Each time you restart completely it is a new random game. The triangle flashes, then you press it. The pattern stacks, instead of changes, with each turn so that helps make it easier. Some triangles will be repeated in the pattern.
The problem is that this is a very lag susceptible game. Far more so than any before this. If the HUD seems to not respond, follow the directions in the Quest guide: leave the scripted area, remove the HUD and re-wear it.
Jogauni Quest: You have followed diligently along the path set before you.
Jogauni Quest: Even the tallest of he oldest has in its roots an important lesson
--------------------
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Perry/107/192/23/
Jogauni Quest: Stare into the eye of fate carefully for this test young one, do not let it twist your mind astray. Search around you, there is help nearby, if you know where to find it.
Saber's notes:
The markings around the base of the tree on the outside are get the answer.
Four on top, seven on bottom, a long vertical divider, and one on the far side.
4 1 7
Wood and Metal light up. Click the triangles until the eye completely stops moving. Wood moves the eye counterclockwise (left), and Metal moves it clockwise (right).
This is a combination lock. The eye is the lock, and the Wood and Metal control direction. Clicking the eye stops the lock after each number. You count the times you click the triangle to make a number.
Press Wood four times, then click the eye.
Press Metal five times, then click the eye.
Press Wood eight times, then click the eye
Jogauni Quest: The first step of this journey has been taken
Jogauni Quest: The Second Step is now complete, only one remains
Jogauni Quest: The twists of your mind and the turns of fate have been properly aligned. You have passed this test young one.
Jogauni Quest: Candy-striped and old as time, find the ladder to the stars
--------------------
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Lusk/181/74/31/
Jogauni Quest: Your eyes are keen and can see far. Yet your mind must be able to see one step further.
Beneath the tower.
Saber's notes:
This one consists of a lot of pattern continuation puzzles. Some of them are binary based. They get more and more difficult until you get the 8th one done.
Watch the patterns, then complete them, as shown below. The numbers shown here are the jewels you must hit. Their number on your HUD. 1 being the top right jewel.
Fill in the correct pieces of the patterns, then hit the eye to continue.
(1)shadow-earth, earth-water (4,5)
(2) wood-water(6)
(3) metal-shadow, wood-light(3,7)
(4) air-fire, metal-shadow, earth-water, wood-light(1,3,5,7)
(5) earth-water (this one is binary)(5)
(6) wood-light, fire-metal, metal-shadow(2,7,3)
(7) wood-light(7)
(8) wood-water, air-fire, metal-shadow(6,1,3)
Jogauni Quest: You have proven yourself a keen observer of the patterns found in the world around you.
Jogauni Quest: Seek the highest point in these lands; the place where it all began; the world spread beneath you as you take your final step.
--------------------
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Lusk/232/122/97/
Jogauni Quest: You have passed many tests and proven yourself to be clever and quick; however, this is not enough.
Jogauni Quest: You must now prove your knowledge of that of which Balance is made.
Aza's notes:
If the coordinates are not clear, for this last quest, you need to be inside the avatar tree in Luskwood. The top, which most don't see (for I didn't know it was there until this quest) is hollow, and you can fly right through it.
Click the correct tribal triangle on the HUD.
Jogauni Quest: I appear uniform but look closely. I am made of three parts - two friends balanced upon a pillar of purest air. What am I?
-Water
Jogauni Quest: I am sometimes above and sometimes below. You cannot move away from me but to quickly return. What am I?
-Wood
Jogauni Quest: I stand strong and ageless in the face of time, but when the rains come, I begin to crumble. What am I?
-Metal
Jogauni Quest: I consume food and grow; I reproduce myself where there is ample space and food; I breathe the same air as you; Yet I am not alive. What am I?
-Fire
Jogauni Quest: I can be contained in a thimble or fill an entire room. Where there is heat you will find my company: red, yellow, blue. What am I?
-Light
Jogauni Quest: Where I am, there is an absense; Where I will soon be, there is weariness; Where I am about to depart, there is renewal. What am I?
-Shadow
Jogauni Quest: In the morning I am soft and green; In the afternoon I am sturdy and strong; In the evening I am grey and dry, a thing rendered unto stone. What am I?
-Earth
Jogauni Quest: I am made of many things. What is green and growing takes my left; What is red and feeding takes my right. What am I?
-Air
Jogauni Quest: Your knowledge of the elemental forces will aid you greatly in your lifejourney for balance. Remember what you have learned, about the world, the other tribes you share it with, and yourself.
Jogauni Quest: Your ancestors have seen that you have taken the final step and proven your worth; take this, it will protect and guide you on your path in to the greater world
--------------------
Weapons list:
Wood: tree club
Fire: spear
Air: curved sabre
earth: earth staff
shadow: shade dagger
light: light staff
water: seashell staff
metal: steel fans
If you have more than one jogauni avatar, return to the last stage wearing the HUD that you went through the tasks with. (Not a copy that didn't make it through all the tests.) Stand in the centre of the platform (to be safe) and poke your HUD in the eye. You should be given the weapons for the avatar you are wearing, so long as you change avatars OUT of the scripted area. Which means leave, change, return! (just to be safe, you know how it goes)
